“MUSIC OF THE NIGHT”
Students will participate in an interactive music workshop (choral or instrumental) with emphasis on the music from ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. This workshop includes an in depth exploration of the haunting musical influences used by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

“MASQUERADE…
PAPER FACES ON PARADE”
Each of these workshops will provide your students with the opportunity to explore the significant role of the mask in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. Choose from the following workshop options:

• Masquerade drama workshop
Using the Masquerade scene from ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ as their inspiration, students will explore through drama, the role of masks in theatre.

• The art of mask making
This workshop will provide students with hands on experiences as they explore the various art and design techniques of mask making. Prior to the actual mask making students will discuss their individual ethnic and cultural traditions, and how the masks they create can depict their personal and unique identities.

• Costume design workshop
With professional costume designers as your guide, you and your students will gain behind the scenes access to a professional costume shop, and learn about the creative process of costume design.

Meet the Artist

An exclusive session with actors from the musical phenomenon The Phantom of the Opera. Share their real life experiences on an off stage, up close and personal in an intimate, fun filled session, which includes: an on stage interview segment, a question and answer period, time for autographs and pictures. Then participate in an extraordinary opportunity to interact with a select member from ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ family through exploration of a scene or dance segment from the show!

“Music of the Night”

Together with you, expert Clinicians focus on a workshop to develop your performance skills with your own chosen repertoire and then work on specific styles used in the creation of the score for ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. Workshops can be customized in any style of music to match the needs and experience level of your group.
